My dear, dear,
I am girl, grew up with a sister too and many dear friends and women surrounded me and still do but each day I get to learn this new language of you.
A language of love, honesty and messages.
A language only you hold.
A force of good.
I was asked to capture Chiselhurst Kindergartens magic, its heart, its essence for their new website https://www.chiselhurst.com.au
A little peep into the lucky children that get to attend this beautiful place with the kindest teachers.
"We keep love in a photograph.
It is a place to return to when that moment is gone.
It is a time forever frozen still"
On this night your mum took a breath, wrapped herself in courage and used her strength and belief to help you enter the world peacefully in a room full of love.
Here I share a small collection of memories you made together with your mum and dad, moments that made them feel alive as you entered earth side.
Their hearts were open, your mum closed her eyes to draw strength, with every piece of them they made memories to hold in their hearts forever and these photographs in their hands forever.
Every piece of you Clancy and every piece of your mum and dad were here.
A time documented, frozen still, a moment that you Clancy will always know how much you are loved.
Wherever you keep these photos, these memories know that inside these photos you are always together, you are home and you are so loved.
Keep these photographs next to your heart, hidden in a draw, under your pillow or hold them in your hand every now and then. Wherever they are kept remember your first meeting with these two beautiful souls, Samara and Nick, your mum and dad.
Remember your first kiss, your first cuddle, your first whisper, your first touch.
Your mummy has her hands full of you, full of beautiful Clancy but know that her heart is even fuller.
You wont ever be alone in this big wide world, you have a family that loves you dearly and when I first met you I believe deep in your soul you knew that you were safe and home and meant to be in those arms.
One of my favourite afternoons was with this bunch of lovely people.
We were at Melissa's Mum and Dad's place at Galdfield near Warwick.
It was so nice to jump in the car and drive into the country to meet this family of 6.
Melissa and David have 4 delicious children who all had beautiful personalities.
I fell in love with their youngest, Joseph. His spirit and his larger than life light that just shines the moment you meet him.
I kept saying, oh he makes me laugh and that he did!
He was fun, happy and enjoying being 2.
His big brown eyes and smile was a big lot of cuteness. His love for life and playing made things fun and he was just a pleasure to be around.
Sam was quiet and so sweet, you could sense this sensitivity and kindness. If he was with his mum or dad he would rest his head against their body or hold their hand.
When he was with the animals he approached them in a gentle manner and touched them softly. I think the animals loved him as much as he loved them.
I would have loved to talk to him more and just listen to his words and wonder.
I would find myself just gently smiling at him or with him.
Sophia was delightful, sometimes you would catch her laughing or poking her tongue but when she was near a horse you couldn't help but watch her. You would lift your head from behind the lens and just look at her, she was so calm and just together with the horse embracing their moment.
Her yellow dress shined as did her playful spirit. I enjoyed talking to Sophia and loved taking her photo. Her beauty inside and out was magical.
James had the most gorgeous smile and when he smiled I couldn't help but smile back. He was close to his mum and I loved how he would hold her hand or lean into her and chat. There was a moment Melissa had her hand wrapped around his shoulders just walking together. I loved that closeness.. James also had a gentle nature that shone, he is kind and a beautiful boy who is growing up so quickly.
Melissa always had her hand wrapped around one of her children or their hands were wrapped around her, in her hair, around her legs or sitting on her hip.
An amazing mum I see here!
Her children are drawn to her and her smile is magic. When she laughs and smiles she radiates.
Her patience and kindness with her children and animals just pours out of her, a beautiful soul.
I loved watching her sling the rope over her shoulder and catch the horses so the kids could ride them.
It was nice to meet David and watch him with his children and what was even more lovely was to see David wrap his arms around Melissa, hold, laugh with her and kiss her.
It was fun jumping fences and walking around this property with all of you Whites even your mum and Dad they are genuine, honest and dear people who made me feel so welcome.
Once again I am so humbled to be asked to be capturing moments like this.
A lovely girl bought all of her family together today and it was such a joy watching a big family just be together, it made me smile....
I have known Jenna for some years now and watching her with her family over the years she just shines. Jenna invites you into her home and family with open arms and I get to see how much she loves being a mum, how proud she is of her family and when she speaks of them her eyes light up.
So this afternoon I got to see her with not only her children and husband but all of her family.
It was lovely seeing her nieces want to be near her, they are drawn to her. Jenna's 2 big boys still wrap their arms around her knowing it is a safe place to be and to just be still. Jenna's daughter reminds me of her and it is lovely watching her blossom and walk alongside her mum and giggle with her dad.
You can see Jenna's mum and dad are close to their grandchildren and the children are so loved by them. You would often find the little girls close to their grandparents, sitting on their lap or holding their hand. Sometimes they would just go to them for a cuddle or ask for them for help.
It was so nice to see Jenny wrap her arms around her big boy who she looks up to and loves so dearly.
I had a little girl who did not want to get her photo taken which was kind of cute and she would hide behind her hands, a little girl who cartwheeled everywhere and was just so delightful and another who just smiled and filled my lens with beauty. All so different but all so precious.
The boys ran and tackled each other, they were happy to be all hanging out with one another and you could hear their cheeky laughs.
The men were all lovely and they talked and watched over the kids as they played.
It was nice to see sisters laughing and just a big family being themselves.
The afternoon sun was almost gone when they received a phone call that Jenny's mum had passed away. It was nice that everyone was together as they then all left together to say their goodbyes to their Grandmother and mother.
I enjoyed the family all wandering the hills together under that beautiful sun and I hope I captured some sun soaked memories and moments of all these lovely people.
This is a little bit of our hour together.
