There is a little girl, well not so little anymore as she is approaching 10.
This beautiful girl is my daughter and it never tires when I say my daughter, such special words.
When this little darling rises each morning it brings me to smile, it excites Narah, Balun moves over to her and is eager to play with her and her Dad's heart melts a little.
Each person brings a little magic into this world and I am so very happy that I get to be sprinkled with hers each day.
I make sure I get a moment with her before she sleeps each night and these moments never disappoint.
I love you dear Bridie, you hold your thoughts close, you spread your love far, you make us laugh, you are endearing and precious.
I love your wonder and spirit and please continue to spread your wings and fly to where that lovely heart pulls you.
My littlest boy turns two in only a couple of days and "oh my darling I love your way, our joyous way".
My moon shines a little brighter, my days a little warmer and today when you rested your little head on my shoulder as I sang to you in the shower, how you wore flowers in your hair as we shopped so you could be like Baba your big sister and how we ditched our plans today so we could just be together is the reason I am so blessed to be a mum, your mum.
You never hesitate and your knowing to be you, watching that might to follow that mighty heart of yours inspires me, your Dad and your two best friends Bridie and Balun.
I love breathing your skin, watching you breath and I am madly in love with you.
I was when I found out you chose me to blossom and grow and when you laid on my chest for the first time.
I want to take this space, this moment to tell you I love your little ways everyday.
A little boy and his mum wandering on a big green hill made for an afternoon full of wonder.
The long grass, a beautiful fig tree, the wind, horses... all present to make a special kind of magic.
On the drive out beautiful Xander slept as Amanda and I chatted and talked mostly about being mums and our wishes, challenges and love for the little people in our lives.
As we arrived Xander woke and there was an immediate excitement in him, he began to wander, point and talk about everything he could see, it was quite adorable.
He believed with all of his heart that we were able to catch a boat here in the middle of nowhere and that it was just over the hill waiting for us to catch some fish, so we went to look for the boat we were destined to catch. We never found it or the fish but he still believed even on the way home it was there waiting for us.
Xander saw rocket ships in the sky and the little things left by nature were truly beautiful in his eyes,I loved his imagination.
Immediately you could see the love Amanda and Xander had for one another.
Xander never strayed too far from Amanda and loved her gentle touch, he liked to be lifted when he was unsure, held her hand for comfort or warmth and wrapped his little fingers through her hair as he would talk and whisper in her ear.
Amanda was his guiding light, his love, his safety, his mumma..
It was so relaxed and many moments we just followed Xander's lead which was lovely.
We had horses come up a trail which was ever so exciting for Xander as he had never been so close to a horse before and his little hand was able to touch this big beautiful creature in front of him, the look on his face and his mum's was so memorable. A simple moment that was so delicate and precious.
The sun was fading and both Amanda and Xander lay in the grass under their big warm sun and created memories, laughter and both grew a little more love for one another.
This was such a beautiful experience and one I am so grateful to be part of.
